Osborne, the lead vocalist of Brothers Osborne, the band he formed with his brother John Osborne, has publicly shared for the first time that he is gay. The "Stay a Little Longer," singer tells Time that while his close-knit Nashviile community knew for years, he is now ready to tell the world. "I'm very comfortable being gay," Osborne told the publication, adding, "I find myself being guarded for not wanting to talk about something that I personally don't have a problem with. That feels so strange." Oraz, a Saudi newspaper, reported on Saturday that prosecutors in the city of Jiddah have proposed the penalty in response to dozens of cases they have prosecuted over the last six months. This is a surprise to me! I need to have my gaydar recalibrated. Maria Bello has been in some amazing films like "A History Of Violence" and, more recently "Prisoners." Good for her! Honestly, I thought he was already out.  Gaydar systems, check! He made it official on the show to support one of the contestants struggle with being gay and coming out to his father.  That was sweet of him! Via US Weekly: Bob Harper  had his own revelatory moment on Tuesday's  The Biggest Loser . On the Nov. 26 episode of the NBC reality weight loss competition show, the 48-year-old personal trainer came out as gay in order to encourage contestant  Bobby Saleem .   Saleem came out as gay on the show, but struggled to break the news of his sexuality to his father. To help encourage Saleem to come out to his dad, Harper decided to share his own story.   "I haven't talked about my sexuality on this show ever," Harper explained in a confessional. "And now, meeting Bobby, I really do believe this is the right time. I want to show Bobby that he doesn't have to live in shame."

Congressman Mike Michaud He is currently running for Maine Governor and there have been rumors and "whisper campaigns" by his opponents.  If elected, he will be the first Openly Gay Governor in the U.S. Via Towleroad: U.S. Rep. Mike Michaud, (D-ME) who is also running for governor of Maine,  came out of the closet today  in response to "whisper campaigns, insinuations and push-polls some of the people opposed to my candidacy have been using to raise questions about [his] personal life". Writes Michaud  in a Portland Press Herald op-ed: "They want people to question whether I am gay. Allow me to save them the trouble with a simple, honest answer: 'Yes I am. But why should it matter?'"

Openly gay boxer Orlando Cruz (left) He is not retired. He is in the middle of his career as a man who takes and gives punches!  He is an amazingly courageous athlete.  He needs to be celebrated for this! Via ESPN: Cruz, 31, the first openly gay fighter, released a statement on Wednesday calling himself a "proud gay man." "I've been fighting for more than 24 years and as I continue my ascendant career, I want to be true to myself," Cruz said. "I want to try to be the best role model I can be for kids who might look into boxing as a sport and a professional career. I have and will always be a proud Puerto Rican. I have always been and always will be a proud gay man." Yes, Orlando.  You should be very proud!! I know I am very proud of you!!  The LGBT community owes you a huge debt of gratitude!  

Anderson Cooper: "I'm Gay"

The shocking revelation that everyone already knew.  Good for you Anderson! Via Huffington Post: Anderson Cooper has, at long last, publicly said he is gay. Cooper made the  announcement  in an email to writer Andrew Sullivan. "The fact is, I'm gay, always have been, always will be, and I couldn’t be any more happy, comfortable with myself, and proud," he wrote. Cooper's sexuality has long been the  subject of ample media speculation , but he has never publicly confirmed it -- a fact which he also seemed to address in the email to Sullivan: "I have always been very open and honest about this part of my life with my friends, my family, and my colleagues. In a perfect world, I don't think it's anyone else's business, but I do think there is value in standing up and being counted. I’m not an activist, but I am a human being and I don't give that up by being a journalist."

Comic Todd Glass Comes Out On Mark Maron's Radio Show

Todd has been one of my favorites, listening to Pandora "Today's Comedy Radio".  Good for him for coming out!   Via The Advocate.com: Comedian Todd Glass, who appeared on the second and third seasons of NBC's Last Comic Standing  and has appeared regularly on Louie, Tosh.0, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn , and  Politically Incorrect , came out as a gay man today on an episode of  WTF with Marc Maron.   After a bit of banter, Maron told viewers the 47-year-old comic was on his podcast to say something important.
