Ellen DeGeneres Responds To Anti Gay "One Million Moms"

Watching this video proves again how much grace Ellen has! Note to One Million Moms: You need a "time out" to think about what you've said and done!!

This story just keeps getting better and better.
First, some arm of the American Family Association (officially a hate group) called One Million Moms got all bent outta shape because JC Penney recently made Ellen DeGeneres its spokesperson. Then, said group told JC Penney that hiring Ellen as its spokesperson would offend shoppers, and “a majority of customers will no longer shop there” in an effort to bully them into firing her. JC Penney wouldn’t back down, but neither would OMM.
Now we have the next step: Ellen tackles the haters (re: motivators) head-on on her talk show, cracks some jokes, and basically makes them look incredibly foolish while, at the same time, being very tasteful about it.

Here are the values that I stand for: I stand for honesty, equality, kindness, compassion, treating people the way you wanna be treated, and helping those in need. To me, those are traditional values. That’s what I stand for.
BOOM! Take your “traditional values” of hate, close-mindedness and general meanness somewhere else, One Million Moms! Take notes, OMM, as these are the values that your group should strive to protect.
But I’m really glad Ellen added that part at the end about traditional values. It seems like nowadays, we equate the phrase “traditional values” with “hatred” or “bigotry,” because so many high-profile bigots claim to share them.
So let’s be clear: hate is not a “traditional value.” You do not stand for traditional values if you go out of your way to prevent a large portion of your population from being happy, or if you purposely make them second-class citizens. You do not stand for traditional values by blindly denying the entire existence of a group. You do not stand for traditional values when you make outrageous claims in order to vilify anyone.
Claiming to support traditional values, and that your actions are motivated by a desire to uphold them while you simultaneously stomp all over the rights of a population is completely backwards and dangerous thinking.
But enough about that! Let’s talk about Ellen!
What did you guys think? Did Ellen handle herself well? Also, how many of you went over to OMM’s Facebook page (or will later) to support her?
